Alex Newby believes hours of practice on the training ground has helped him challenge ex-Republic of Ireland international Alan Judge as Colchester United’s set-piece specialist.
The 27-year-old winger fired home his second thunderous free-kick in as many league games when he netted a 25-yard howitzer at Mansfield last weekend, having hit the target from a similar distance during the 3-0 home win against Doncaster.
