MIKE SO CHUFFED TO LAND PATCHING

MANAGER Mike Williamson believes that midfielder Will Patching will be an ‘exciting signing’ for League Two basement dwellers Carlisle United.
Stockport-born Patching will join the Cumbrians on a two-and-a-halfyear contract once the January transfer window opens.
The 26-year-old came through the ranks at Manchester City before stints with Notts County and Dundalk. In his time with the latter, he had a loan spell with Derry City, who he joined permanently in 2022. Over the last three seasons, he has netted 24 goals in 95 league appearances.
