Struggling Sutton United face Swindon Town at the VBS Community Stadium on Monday looking to build on a win in their last league outing.

After securing all three points with a 2-1 victory over Salford City on Friday, the Us sit 23rd in League Two.

They travel to play a Swindon side 19th in the standings, who also won their last match, 2-1 against Notts County.

With 47 goals in 41 games so far this season, Sutton are scoring at below the league average rate with 1.1 goals per game. And they are conceding more than average, letting in 72 goals at a rate of 1.8 per game.

Swindon, meanwhile, are above average scorers, with 1.7 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.5. They have conceded 1.8 goals per game.

In the last five years, Sutton and Swindon have played each other on five occasions. Sutton won one of them and Swindon the other.

On average, the Us scored 1.8 goals and the Robins 2.6 in those matches.

Their last meeting was on September 9, when Swindon won 5-3 at home.

In Daniel Kemp, Town have one of the league’s most on-form strikers so far this season. He has notched 17 goals in 41 appearances, to sit seventh in the scoring charts.

His goal rate of one every 192 minutes is quicker than that of Harry Smith, United’s top scorer with a goal every 281 minutes, and a total of nine goals in 32 games.

The Us are in mixed form in League Two, with three wins and a draw from their last six games.

With two wins and a draw over that period, the Robins’ form is worse – they have taken seven points from 18, compared to the hosts’ 10.
