GILLS EXAMINE ‘RACIST’ REMARK

GILLINGHAM have vowed to investigate after an allegation of racist language aimed at Colchester’s Junior Tchamadeu by a supporter.
The alleged incident happened early in the League Two match as Tchamadeu prepared to take a throw-in. Full-back Tchamedeu went on to score the only goal of the Boxing Day game at MEMS Priestfield Stadium.
In a statement, the Gills said: “We will conduct our own internal investigation, work alongside the necessary parties and, if required, take appropriate action.
