ANGER AS CLUBS CASH IN ON FAN LOSSES

EFL clubs are still receiving a direct cut of gamblers’ losses as part of a now discontinued scheme with their betting partner.
Since 2013, clubs have received a share of those losses if a customer signed up to Sky Bet via the club’s website.
The EFL says the deal was phased out during the 2019-20 season to focus more on safer gambling.
But clubs are still receiving money from customer losses as a legacy of the agreement. That part will continue until at least 2023-24 when S ky
