SIMPSON ‘GUTTED’ FOR DEVITT

CARLISLE will “look after” Jamie Devitt and “get him fit” following a season-ending hamstring injury, according to boss Paul Simpson.
The 31-year-old midfielder, who returned to the club on a short-term deal in January, pulled a hamstring in the recent win over Northampton. Simpson said: “It wasn’t good news with Dev. As it stands, his season is finished.
“We don’t think he needs surgery, but it’s not great news. We’ve been made aware he’s out of contract in the summer, which is horrible timing for him... but ...
