IT’S LIDDLE BY LIDDLE FOR DAVE

HARTLEPOOL boss Dave Challinor is hoping he will not need to call on defender Gary Liddle for at least another week.
The 35-year-old centre-half has tendonitis and has missed Pools’ last two matches.
Challinor is monitoring his fitness closely, but said: “As daft as it sounds, the longer we can leave him the better.
“We’re going to be dictated to by results, performances, suspensions and injuries.
“If we can potentially get away with leaving him another week that would be beneficial, but if we can’t, he’s fit enough to play.”
