GRIMSBY LEFT IN LIMBO BY SHUTES’ U-TURN

GRIMSBY’S nightmare season has suffered another blow with the news that Tom Shutes has withdrawn from a consortium looking to take over the club.
Majority shareholder John Fenty agreed to the sale of the EFL’s bottom club to London-based Shutes, Jason Stockwood and Andrew Pettit in December.
But in a statement on Thursday, Mariners chairman Philip Day said Shutes had pulled out.
