ROVERS SEEKING TO PITCH IN OVER SURFACE

CHAMPIONSHIP
BLACKBURN have admitted their Ewood Park pitch will need nursing back to health as the packed schedule and winter weather has taken its toll.
Rovers’ midweek clash with Swansea was postponed after the surface was deemed unplayable and was only the third time in 15 years that the club have been forced to call of a home game as a result of the weather.
But the short turnaround from last season due to the coronavirus pandemic has put extra strain on the pitch and is a cause for concern for the rest of the season.
