RONNIE MOORE knew a thing or two about winning promotions, whether as a player or manager.
He was Tranmere Rovers’ top scorer when they won promotion from Division Four in 1976 and repeated the feat helping Rotherham to a Division Three title in 1981.
Moore finished his career with another promotion with Tranmere and as manager had taken Rotherham out of Division Three at the turn of the new millennium.
