CREWE COVID CASE CAUSES CALL-OFF

OXFORD United’s home clash with Crewe yesterday became the latest match to be called off because of Covid-19.
One of the Crewe players, reported to be Ryan Wintle by BBC Radio Stoke, tested positive yesterday morning after travelling down on the team coach the previous day.
The game was postponed just 35 minutes before it was due to kick off. In a statement released yesterday afternoon, the EFL said: “Each case is judged on its individual merits, and due to the circumstances, the club has advised the EFL it is unable to fulfil the fixture as players and first team staff are now ...
