FOR those of us old enough to remember the FA Cup in its glory days, the midweek programme was a bit deflating.
The Cup used to be one of the highlights of the season.
You’d wait for the third round draw and see who would capture the plum ties. It would be the chance for your club to test themselves against the top players and at top venues.
