ENGLAND manager Gareth Southgate has bemoaned the fact that the pool of homegrown talent in the Premier League is getting ‘smaller and smaller’.
And he has suggested that he ‘can’t rule out players in the Championship now’.
Yes, it would be ideal if the Three Lions boss could select his squad purely from players performing in the top-flight week in, week out.
But that is clearly becoming harder and harder as years go by and more foreign talent is snapped up.
