Butler hits winner as Vale home run ends

STAR MAN DAN BUTLER Newport County

PORT Vale lost at home in the league for the first time this season as they were beaten by Newport at Vale Park.
The scores were level at half-time after Tom Pope had cancelled out Scott Bennett’s 18th minute opener, but Dan Butler scored early in the second period as Newport took all three points.
The away side took the lead on 18 minutes, with Bennett scoring from closerange after a Newport corner was only half-cleared.
