JJ jumps through Hoops for Mariners

JJ HOOPER served up an end-of-season treat at the New Lawn as Grimsby defeated Forest Green comfortably to extend their unbeaten run to five games and finish the campaign on a high.
Rovers were the better team in the first half only to be blown away by Grimsby’s in-form attacking midfielder, who netted the first senior hat-trick of his career inside 35 second-half minutes.
His first was a tap-in, his second a precise shot from the edge of the box and his third a stunning strike from 25 yards out that flew into the top corner.
