LIAM Noble returned to haunt Forest Green Rovers as promotion contenders Notts County returned to winning ways on their first-ever visit to the New Lawn.
Dropped by Rovers boss Mark Cooper amid rumours that lifestyle issues had caused a rift between player and manager, Noble left Rovers under a cloud in October. Determined to prove a point upon his return to Gloucestershire, the cocksure Geordie opened the scoring in the 34th minute to silence a hostile home crowd.
