GOALS from Adam McGurk and Garry Thompson gave Morecambe their first away win of the season against a Chesterfield side who dominated but lacked a quality finish.
The Shrimps had Barry Roche to thank for preserving their advantage, the veteran keeper making a string of fine saves to ensure the visitors’ net remained unblemished.
“It was a great win, and a great performance from Barry Roche – not such a great second-half performance,” said Morecambe boss Jim Bentley.
