CLOUGH IS CHUFFED OVER STAGS‘ HISTORIC BACK TO BACK WINNERS

NIGEL Clough was delighted to see his recently promoted Mansfield side win back-to-back League One home games for the first time in 20 years after a hard-earned win over Shrewsbury Town.
Despite falling behind in the second minute, the Stags fought back, and Aaron Lewis’ 86thminute finish condemned the Shrews to their sixth defeat in seven games.
“It gives us a huge lift to have 11 points after six games. We are 20 per cent of the way to staying in the league and that is a brilliant achievement,” said Clough.
