DARREN Moore has been backed to lead Port Vale back to League One following last weekend’s relegation.
The former West Brom, Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield boss was appointed in February on a five-and-a-half year contract but won just two of his first 16 games at the helm.
A 2-0 defeat at Bolton on the penultimate weekend left the Valiants six points adrift of safety and ended their two-season stint in the third tier.
