Struggling Fleetwood Town face Burton Albion at the Highbury Stadium on Saturday looking to build on a win in their last league outing.

After securing all three points with a 1-0 victory over Leyton Orient on April 20, the Cod Army sit 22nd in League One.

They travel to play a Burton side 20th in the standings, who also won their last match, 3-2 against Reading.

In the last 10 years, Fleetwood and Burton have played each other on 14 occasions. Fleetwood won six of them, Burton seven, and they drew once.

On average, the Cod Army scored 1.6 goals and the Brewers 1.4 in those matches.

Their last meeting was on September 23, when they played out a 1-1 draw.

Fleetwood are in disappointing form in League One, with two wins and four losses from their last six games.

With two wins and a draw over that period, Burton’s form is slightly better – they have taken seven points from 18, compared to Town’s six.

With 39 goals in 45 games so far this season, Albion are the league’s joint-third-lowest scorers with 0.9 goals per game. And they are conceding more than average, letting in 64 goals at a rate of 1.4 per game.

The Cod Army are also below average scorers, with 1.0 goal per game, compared to a league average of 1.3. They have conceded 1.6 goals per game.
