Wycombe Wanderers visit Cambridge United at the Abbey Stadium on late Tuesday on the back of three consecutive wins in League One.

In the last 10 years, Cambridge and Wycombe have played each other on 11 occasions. Cambridge won two of them, Wycombe seven, and they drew twice.

On average, Cambridge scored 0.8 goals and the Chairboys 1.7 in those matches.

Their last meeting was on October 31, when they played out a 0-0 draw.

Wycombe are seven places ahead of United in 12th, with 16 wins and 13 draws putting them on 61 points.

With 38 goals in 44 games so far this season, the hosts are the league’s joint-third-lowest scorers with 0.9 goals per game. And they are conceding more than average, letting in 60 goals at a rate of 1.4 per game.

Wanderers, meanwhile, are average scorers, with 1.3 goals per game. They have conceded 1.2 goals per game.

Cambridge’s last match was on Saturday, a 1-0 loss against Derby County.

Wycombe beat Carlisle United 3-1 last time out, also on Saturday, with Garath McCleary (two) and Richard Kone on the scoresheet.

Tuesday’s match will be refereed by Will Finnie, who has taken charge of 18 League One games so far this season, issuing one red card and booking 58 players. He has awarded three penalties.

The last Cambridge game Finnie refereed was a 0-0 away draw with Wycombe Wanderers on October 31. His last Wycombe match was their 2-1 loss away at Bolton Wanderers on February 13.
