Peterborough United travel to Brisbane Road for Monday’s match against Leyton Orient looking to bounce back from defeat last time out in League One.

The Posh, who sit fourth in the league after 39 games, fell to a 3-1 home defeat to Carlisle United on Friday.

They face an Orient side who also lost their last match, a 1-0 defeat to Lincoln City, and who sit 11th in the table.

With 75 goals in 39 games so far this season, Peterborough are the league’s highest scorers with 1.9 goals per game. And they are conceding at an average rate, letting in 49 goals at a rate of 1.3 per game.

Orient, meanwhile, are below average scorers, with 1.1 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.3. They have also conceded 1.1 goals per game.

In the last 10 years, Orient and Peterborough have played each other on six occasions. They won two each, and they drew twice.

On average, Orient scored 1.3 goals and the Posh 1.3 in those matches.

Their last meeting was on September 16, when they played out a 1-1 draw.

United’s Harrison Burrows is among the league’s most creative players, racking up 12 assists in 39 appearances so far this season, and holding second spot in League One’s assist charts.

For the home team, Theodore Archibald and Ruel Sotiriou have set up the most goals, having laid on five assists apiece to date.

Orient are in mixed form in League One, with two wins and a draw from their last six games.

With four wins and two losses over that period, the Posh’s form is better – they have taken 12 points from 18, compared to Orient’s seven.
