Peterborough United are on a poor run ahead of hosting Exeter City at the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday, with just four points collected from their last six games.

The Posh have picked up one win and one draw in their last six League One games, and face an Exeter side whose last six games have brought two wins and one draw.

With 61 goals in 33 games so far this season, Peterborough are the league’s highest scorers with 1.8 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 41 goals at a rate of 1.2 per game.

Exeter, meanwhile, are below average scorers, with 0.7 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.3. They have conceded 1.4 goals per game.

United are fifth in the table after 33 games, of which they have won 17 and drawn eight, earning 59 points.

City are 11 places behind the Posh in 16th, with 11 wins and seven draws putting them on 40 points.

The home side’s Harrison Burrows is among the league’s most creative players, racking up 10 assists in 33 appearances so far this season, and holding second spot in League One’s assist charts.

For the visitors, Demetri Mitchell has set up the most goals, having laid on three assists in 14 games.

In the last three years, Peterborough and Exeter have played each other on three occasions. Peterborough won one of them and Exeter the other.

Their last meeting was on February 6, when Exeter won 2-1 at home.

Peterborough’s last match was on February 24, a 1-0 win against Cambridge United, with Ephron Mason-Clark getting the goal for the Posh.

Exeter drew 1-1 with Fleetwood Town last time out, also on February 24, with Vincent Harper on the scoresheet.
