First game you watched live?
Liverpool v Southampton at Anfield. I think it was 1-1 and I remember Ian Rush playing because all the fans were singing his name. That’s about all I can remember. I grew up in Carlisle, but my older brother supported Liverpool - probably because they were the best team in the 80s - and I just jumped on the bandwagon. Once I got a bit older, I used to get the bus down to all the home games. I think I just paid on the gate, which is amazing when you think how hard it is to get a ticket these days.
