BENNETT BIDS TO SPARKLE FOR U’S

EXPERIENCED defender Ryan Bennett is relishing the opportunity after signing a short-team deal with Cambridge United until the end of the season.
The 32-year-old, who has played most of his career in the top two divisions of English football, joins as a free agent having left Swansea in September.
He won promotion to the Premier League with Norwich and Wolves as well as into the Championship with Peterborough.
“It’s a good club and I’m looking forward to making my mark here,” he told the club website.
