Garner goes as Addicks change course

Under-fire Charlton Athletic owner Thomas Sandgaard insisted he had no option but to call time on boss Ben Garner’s short reign.
The League One side pulled the plug on Garner on Tuesday after just six months in charge. The 42-year-old had joined the club from Swindon in June, signing a threeyear-deal at The Valley.
The Addicks’ fortunes slumped of late and they had slipped to 17th in the table after last weekend’s round of matches.
