WIGAN boss Leam Richardson thinks Jordan Cousins will return from a thigh injury “stronger than ever” amid fears he could miss up to four months.
The 27-year-old midfielder was forced off in Latics’ win against Shrewsbury a fortnight ago – his first start since returning from a previous hamstring issue.
Cousins’ absence means he is likely to miss all but the last month of the season.
Richardson said: “He’ll be back stronger than ever. It’s an issue with a tendon on his thigh.”
