ADSHEAD’S ON MEND, SAYS EVANS

GILLINGHAM boss Steve Evans insists Dan Adshead could return to the club despite the midfielder suffering a broken metatarsal.
The 20-year-old, on a season-long loan from Norwich, suffered the injury in last weekend’s defeat to Portsmouth.
Adshead has undergone surgery and Evans said: “In the last two or three weeks, Dan had got himself established back in the team and starting matches.
“We need to get the first few weeks out the way and then see exactly where he is.”
