AMAECHI’S PROGRESS

BOLTON are hoping to extend Xavier Amaechi’s loan spell at the club, with the winger “getting closer to full fitness”.
The 20-year-old, who is on loan from Hamburg until January, sustained a broken metatarsal during pre-season and is only now back in action.
Amaechi scored his first goal in the 2-2 draw at Cheltenham, and said: “I feel better now than I did in pre-season.”
