WINGER IS FITTING IN AT OWLS

NATHANIEL Mendez- -Laing admits the next few weeks will be “a building process” as he boosts his fitness following months out of the game.
The 29-year-old winger joined Sheffield Wednesday on a free this week having spent the last three weeks with the Owls.
Mendez-Laing, who left Middlesbrough at the end of last term, said: “It’s been good to get the deal over the line, getting my fitness levels back up to pace, training and doing my extra bit with the fitness coaches.
“I feel up to the pace now.”
