PALMER’S NEW DEAL

LIAM Palmer hopes to get Sheffield Wednesday “back to where we should be” after extending his deal until the summer of 2023.
The 30-year-old defender is the Owls’ longest-serving player, with over 300 games under his belt. He said: “Everyone knows I’ve been here a long time and it’s good to stay and kick on for a few more years and get back to where we should be.
“It’s a great opportunity and I want to kick on and help get the job done this season.”
