It definitely would have been going to watch (Manchester) United. I’m sure it was Middlesbrough at Old Trafford, but for the life of me I can’t remember which exact year. I think it was 2-0. It would have been very early 2000s.
First football hero?
Being a United fan when I was young, it was Dwight Yorke. He was the first player I had on the back of my shirt. It was inevitable as a fan, but I remember I had Yorke and then my brother had Andy Cole on his shirt. Obviously as a striker he was a great inspiration. The partnership...
