First game you watched live?
I think it was Sheffield Wednesday against Leicester at Hillsborough, back when Wednesday were in the Premier League in the late 1990s.
I can’t remember that much about it but I’m pretty sure Emile Heskey was playing for Leicester.
My mum always tells the story that I kept asking if Alan Shearer was playing and she had to keep reminding me that he didn’t play for these teams!
I spent more of the game watching the crowd cheering and singing than the actual football, it was amazing.
First football hero?
Definitely Shearer...
