WOOTTON SIGNS FOR SHRIMPS

NEW signing Scott Wootton hopes to lead from the back at Morecambe.
The 29-year-old former Leeds and Plymouth defender joined the Shrimps on a one-year deal.
Wootton said: “I’ve got experience playing in this league and higher so I need to bring that to the team. “We need to keep clean sheets and I need to be a leader at the back, that’s what I want to bring.
“It will be a tough season, that’s to be expected for all teams. There’s no easy games but there’s also no team to fear.”
