BLUNT’S BACKING BUTLER TO LEAD ROVERS

CHAIRMAN David Blunt wants Andy Butler to “put himself in the prime position” to become Doncaster’s new manager on a permanent basis.
Experienced defender Butler, 37, who has been managing the Doncaster Belles, was given the Rovers job until the end of the season following the departure of Darren Moore and Jamie Smith to Sheffield Wednesday.
