HULL striker Mallik Wilks revealed words of encouragement from boss Grant McCann helped him to a first career hat-trick.
The 22-year-old hit his treble in the 5-0 win at Wigan in midweek and said: “It’s just crazy – my first hat-trick. It felt good.
“He (McCann) put his arm around us and told us, ‘don’t stop doing what you’re doing as you’re getting the chances’.”
