Johnson so relieved to end home drought…

LEE JOHNSON believes his Sunderland side deserved to dig out three points and a first home win since November 3 as they overcame a battling Shrewsbury Town side.
The Black Cats edged ahead in the 18th minute through Charlie Wyke’s 14th goal of the season during the home side’s strongest period of the game.
Johnson’s side moved up to seventh, in touch with the play-off places, just days after suffering a loss to Plymouth at the Stadium of Light.
