IF GOOD things come to those who wait, then Simeon Akinola deserves to enjoy Southend’s recent upturn in form after seeing his debut delayed by three months.
A transfer embargo issued by the EFL early last year due to an unpaid HMRC bill delayed the 28-year-old forward’s maiden appearance for the Shrimpers, after he had put pen to paper on a twoyear deal in September.
