OWNERS’ EXTRAVAGANCE HAS COST BURY DEAR

BURY is only a small club but it’s a giant in Football League history. They’ve been a part of the fabric for so many years.
I’m very close to the club. I worked there when Mike Walsh was manager. When I wasn’t working, I’d go down and watch games with Stan Ternent and Sam Ellis, who oversaw backto- back promotions from League Two to the Championship. It was Bury’s most successful period in recent years so to see the club expelled from the EFL last week was a very sad case.
