PORT VALE’S Luke Hannant praised Ricky Miller after he made the most of his chance against Mansfield.
Leading scorer Tom Pope missed the game with a knee injury and Miller, 30 this week, came in to score both goals in a 2-1 victory.
Midfielder Hannant said: “They both have different attributes. Tom is more of an aerial battler so you can hang the ball up into the box a lot more, but with Ricky we’ve got to play it into his feet, play down channels and get in behind.
“He scored two really good goals.”
