FOR nearly four years Bloomfield Road has been an empty, lifeless shell as the club which were in the Premier League just eight years ago became the scene of one of the longest-running fans boycott in English football.
After Owen Oyston was finally removed as owner after years of campaigning and court cases, the supporters – many of whom scrubbed bird muck off the seats themselves this week such was its state of disrepair – returned to sell out the stadium.
