DEADLY NORWOOD VITAL TO ROVERS’ RETURN

WHAT a start to the season it’s been for Tranmere Rovers striker James Norwood.
Before yesterday’s trip to Carlisle, his seven goals in seven League Two games meant he’d scored more goals in 2018 than any other player in the top five English divisions (21).
Despite always having an eye for a goal, It’s easy to forget that he often played in a wide midfield role at his previous club Forest Green.
The improvement in his work-rate, finishing and application is obvious and are things that he and his manager Mickey Mellon have spoken openly about. ...
