After falling behind to Graham Carey’s penalty, the Latics muscled their way back to make it 10 wins from 13 away games.
Paul Cook’s side showed they can mix flair and attacking fluency with a physical presence as they came up against a pumpedup Argyle side. There were crunching tackles and tempers flared as two in-form sides went hammer and tongs.
Wigan are on a roll and it would be a surprise if anyone catches them.
