Darrell: ‘That one was for our Geoff’

BRISTOL Rovers marked the passing of former chairman Geoff Dunford in suitable style on and off the pitch at an emotional Memorial Stadium. Before a game attended by his family, there were glowing tributes to the man who helped save the club in the 1980s following his death from cancer at the age of 66 and a rousing minute’s applause demonstrated the feelings of supporters.
After a convincing win that would have delighted Dunford, manager Darrell Clarke said: “We dedicate this win to Geoff and his family. He did so much for our club that it is only fitting.
