JAMIE Paterson was given “really poor” advice as he looked to leave Swansea City before the transfer window closed, according to manager Russell Martin.
The 30-year-old forward missed four matches due to a contract dispute and had been linked with a deadline-day switch to QPR.
Paterson had told Martin he was not in the right frame of mind to play due to the speculation, but after a move failed to materialise last Monday, the forward is back involved with the Swans.
