STOKE boss Michael O’Neill was pleased to see returning striker Tyrese Campbell get minutes under his belt in the Carabao Cup defeat to Brentford.
The 21-year-old, who is working his way back from a serious knee injury sustained in December, played 63 minutes of the 2-1 defeat.
“He didn’t want to come off,” said O’Neill.
“He did find it difficult in the first half to get up the pitch and make an impact, but he then really showed what he’s capable of in the first 15 minutes of the second.
“He linked up well and it was just good to see him get minutes.”
