PRESTON boss Frankie McAvoy admits it would be “stupid” not to take a closer look at Connor Wickham.
The 28-year-old striker is a free agent following his release by Crystal Palace and has been training with North End as he seeks to relaunch his career elsewhere.
McAvoy said in the wake of his side’s opening win of the season against Peterborough:
“Connor is here, so we are having a look at him and that’s where we are at the moment and we will see how he does.
