STOKE City full-back Tommy Smith has praised the impact of the club’s summer signings.
The likes of striker Sam Surridge and defenders Ben Wilmot and Leo Ostigard have all settled into Michael O’Neill’s ambitious outfit.
“The manager has been clear in what he said, any players that come in need to add something to the team,” said Smith.
“It’s vitally important that we have competition for places.
“We have a very good squad and all this will help when the pressure is on come the end of the season.”
