FRUSTRATED boss Mick McCarthy was happy to see fans back at Cardiff City Stadium, but distraught his side couldn’t deliver a winning start to the campaign.
His Cardiff side were unable to hold on to a lead given to them by Marlon Pack as Toby Sibbick’s equaliser gave Barnsley a deserved point.
The return of fans, after 18 months away, was given more poignancy just before kickoff by a big screen montage of those supporters who had passed away since they last gathered.
