HULL manager Grant McCann described Richie Smallwood’s season-ending knee injury as “a kick in the teeth” for the club.
The 30-year-old midfielder suffered the problem during the first half of the Tigers’ clash with Burton and missed the draw with Lincoln.
McCann said: “It’s a complicated injury for Richie. It’s a kick in the teeth for us, but he’s got good people around him.”
